lor: #ffffff;”>Over one hundred people from 5 Maquoketa congregations participated in the annual CROP Walk on Sunday, October 2. This interfaith event of Church World Service is designed to raise public awareness of food insecurity and hunger in local communities and abroad. This event also generates funding for food programs, such as the Maquoketa Community Cupboard. Congregations that participated by walking or sponsoring walkers this year included First Baptist Church, First Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and United Church of Christ, all of Maquoketa.
