First Lutheran Women will host the annual Fall Gathering for Cluster V, Women of the ELCA on Saturday, September 17. The program will feature a work project through Kids Care. The goal is to assemble 2000 meals for distribution to families in need around the world. Registration deadline for the Gathering is September 12. Contact Karen Slattery @ 652-0596 to register. A meditation area will be available for indivduals who do not wish to participate in the work project. After the work project, participants will gather for worship and Holy Communion. A luncheon in the Social Room will follow worship. The Gathering will also feature a display from “Tea & More”, a Christian book store in Maquoketa. The fee for the program and lunch is $6.50, or $2.00 for program, excluding meal. All are welcome!
